Kerala Budget 2010-2011

Dr. T.M. Thomas Isaac, Minister for Finance presented the State Budget 2010-11 in the Kerala Legislative Assembly on 05/03/2010.

Kerala Budget 2010 has been released today on March 5, 2010 by T.M.

The highlights of Kerala budget 2010-11 are listed below:

1. Set up 4 more police stations
2. Rs 9 cr for rescue force
3. Rs 2.5 cr for computerisation of Registration dept
4. Rs 139 cr for tsunami rehabilitation
5. Rs 20 cr for new Munnaar
6. Rs 1058 cr for drinking water project
7. Financial aid of Rs 5 cr for Kudumbasree in 2010-11
8. Rs 11 cr for polytechnic development
9. Aid to more families under the EMS scheme
10. Rs 15 cr for new housing scheme
11. Rs 1 cr for Neeleswaram EMS stadium
12. Rs 67 cr for National Games
13. Rs 121 cr for Shipping sector
14. Rs 1000 cr for Green Fund
15. Bala Sahitya Institute Rs 50 lakh
16. Improve canals and waterways
17. Start KSFI chit projects abroad
18. Eight public sector units at Rs 120 cr
19. Rs 425 cr for the electricity sector
20. Rs 4 cr for buying new boats
21. A project at Info Park to provide employment to 1 lakh people
22. Rs 1000 cr for Kannur airport
23. Rs 29 cr for IT Mission
24. Rs 25 cr for the Grand Kerala Shopping Festival
25. Rs 52 crore for water development
26. Implement Smart city project
27. Rs 412 cr fpr development of IT sector
28. Rs 10 cr for beetel nut farmers
29. Rs 30 cr for coconut development
30. Rs 82 crore for coir development
31. Kissan Credit card within a year
32. Rs 15 crore for Thrissur Agri park
33. Rs 52 crore for cashew development
34. Rs 10 cr for the new Mullaperiyar Dam
35. Rs 16 cr for Alapuzha Ernakulam special package
36. Increase in pension to Rs 300
37. New company to be set up for Highspeed corridor
38. 10 cr trees will be planted within 2 years
39. Rs 50 cr to coir, handicrafts development
40. Rs 40 cr aid to Kudumbasree
41. Special company with 20 pc state share for Kannur airport project
42. Rs 1600 cr for KSTP
43. Agri calendar for Kuttanad
