Sudeep Biography
Sudeep (Kannada: ಸುದೀಪ್) is an Indian actor, director, producer and singer from Shimoga, Karnataka, known in the Kannada film industry and Bollywood.

The high voltage screen drama will have Sudeep playing the role of Jay Malik, an ambitious young person and the son of the media baron Harshavardhan Malik (Amitabh Bachchan).

- I chose Phoonk mainly because it provided an opportunity to work with Ram Gopal Varma. The director got the best out me in the film. After working for nearly 40 days for the film, I felt that many facets of my performance were captured by Varmaji.
- I am loved by the people in Karnataka. My roots and my family are in Bangalore.
- I accepted a Hindi film (Phoonk) only because of my respect for Varma. It is like any professional going on a holiday or taking a break.
- My decision to act in films has always been dictated by the strength of the script. My judgement may fail sometimes, but I have always valued the script.
