IPL Auction 2010 – Watch Live Latest News and Updates Live Streaming Schedule

The 2010 Player Auction for Indian Premier League will be held on the 19th January 2010. It will be held in India. 97 players from cricket playing countries other than India have registered for the auction. Merely registering, however, does not guarantee the player will be included in the auction list.

The IPL auction on Tuesday promises to be as adrenaline-driven as the matches are.

The highlights of the IPL Auction 2010 third edition:

The IPL Cricket tournament 2010 will be played in India. 1st edition was played in India and the 2nd was played in South Africa.
66 players will go under the hammer at the auction – it would be 1, 2 and 3, sold.
The franchises ar not that excited and upbeat as the organisers would like it to be.
Most team have filled their teams and bench with players.
All eyes will be set on the Pakistani players as they have been cleared for the auction. Shahid Afridi will be the favourite.
Team owners are not sure, whether to bid for Pakistani players or not, as it would be quite risky.
Shiv Sena has threatened the Australian Players and said that if they take part in the tournament, it wouldn’t be good for them after the continuous racial attacks on the Indians in Australia.

Pollard is sold. He had a base price of $2,00,000. Tie breaker between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers on $7,50,000. Four Team owners got 5 minutes to bid secretly for him. West Indian All round Pollard sold to Mumbai Indian.
