The Telugu and Kannada actress Yamuna on a clue from Hyderabad Police to Bangalore crime branch was allegedly caught in the high level prostitution case on Friday.
The Bangalore police had been keeping watch for the last three months on a tip off from Hyderabad police found the actress with chief executive officer of a software company in city five star hotel rooms. It is alleged that software guy booked the actress.
According to sources, after arresting actress Yamuna, CEO Nandakumar and Surakshith, the Bangalore police have interrogated the pimp, who has given some important clues about nationwide sex racket. He is said to have given information about the large network of prostitution across the country, which has been running for years. Meanwhile, he is also have revealed names of several South Indian actress including a few popular Bollywood actress, who are involved in the flesh trade.
Now, the police are investigating further on the suspected nationwide prostitution racket. Talking about it on Friday, city police commissioner Shankar Bidari admitted that he is quite sure that the network is spread across the country. But he denied to reveal any detail about it. The commissioner said, “We cannot reveal anything about the racket.”
However, actress Yamuna, customer Nanadakumar and Surakshith were caught red handed along with six other members after the Bangalore raided on ITC Royal Gardenia Hotel, Bangalore. During the raid, the police have recovered Rs. 2,46,000 from them. They were produced to the judicial custody, but they have got bail on Friday.
Yamuna made debut in Kannada film ‘Chinna’ opposite V Ravichandran and in ‘Modadha Mareyalli’ she acted opposite Shivarajakumar.
Yamuna acted in last year ‘Shambo Shankara’ and before that in Haage Summane Kannada film. Yamuna is also popular in Telugu television serials.
